A retractable lead with flat tape rather than thin cord, in 3 or 5 metres.
What it is
ABS housing, 3 m or 5 m, with a braking mechanism. Blue, red, orange or grey.
Flat tape matters: thin cord is the version that causes rope burns and cuts when it runs through a hand or wraps a leg.
Who it's for
Open spaces — fields, quiet trails, beaches — where a dog can range without meeting much.
Retractable leads are the wrong tool in several common situations, and we would rather say so:
Not near roads or traffic. Several metres of lead is several metres a dog can be into the road before the brake engages.
Not in crowds or near other dogs. A long lead tangles people and animals.
Not for a dog that lunges. A dog hitting the end of 5 m at speed generates a serious shock — to their neck and your hand.
Attach it to a harness, not a collar.
Used in the right place they are genuinely useful. Used on a pavement they are a hazard.

The supplier does not publish a maximum dog weight. For a retractable lead that is the spec that matters most, so we are asking for it and not guessing — if your dog is large or strong, contact us before ordering.
Care
Let the tape retract fully. Check the brake before every walk.
