A 60 cm wand with feathers on the end — the length matters more than it sounds.
What it is
Acrylic handle with pheasant feather, total length about 60 cm. Blue, red or white.
Who it's for
Any cat that chases. Wand play is the closest thing to hunting most indoor cats get, and it is the type of play cats stay interested in longest because a person is driving it.
60 cm keeps your hand out of range. Short wands teach a cat that hands are part of the game, which is a habit you do not want.
Let them catch it sometimes. A hunt that never ends in a catch stops being satisfying.
Store it out of reach between sessions. Feathers and string left out get chewed and swallowed.
